Yang Liangyi, Famous Maritime Law Expert from Hong Kong, Visit DMU
Yang Liangyi, Famous Maritime Law Expert from Hong Kong, comes to DMU every year to give lectures and motivate students to turn into models of people in legal profession. This year, Mr. Yang is coming to visit DMU on 18th Apr. His schedule is as follows:
18th Apr: A panel with maritime law teachers in Room 213 of Law Building, and exchange opinions on maritime issues.
19th Apr: Yang Liangyi Scholarship Ceremony & Academic Report in COSCO Lecture Hall.
Attendances:
- Professor Si Yuzhuo, famous maritime law scholar and former president of DMU;
- Dong Guosong, director of Student Affairs Department of DMU;
- Professor Chu Beiping, dean of Law School;
- Professor Han Lixin, deputy dean of Law School;

Biography:
Yang Liangyi, an authority with an international reputation on theory and practice of maritime and admiralty law, have devoted himself to maritime law teaching and research work of mainland China for a long time, and have made a great contribution for domestic law education to keep close contact with international commercial law. He has also trained a large number of talents, who are proficient in Anglo-American maritime legal practice.
He is an educator, and a philanthropist. As an old alumni of DMU, Mr. Yang has established Yang Liangyi special scholarship since 1990, which has inspired countless outstanding maritime law students to work harder and make more progress.
